What Have I Been Up To Recently?

Hello everyone! Apologies for the radio silence over the last few months. If you follow me on Instagram (although even my Insta posts have been few and far between), you will know that I went through some pretty big life changes back in September. I was hoping to carry on blogging throughout but I was struggling to find the time and then I lost my blogging mojo a bit. However I thought I would share a life update so you guys know what has been going on in the last few months.

Back in September I made the exciting (and slightly daunting) move to the Big Smoke to begin a graduate scheme. I had envisaged spending my evenings writing blog content and my weekends shooting photographs, however I was not prepared for the harsh reality of full-time work. Having gone from taking a year out to working 8:00am to 5:30pm, I found myself constantly tired and struggling to cram everything into what little spare time I had. Don't get me wrong I love my job but I was not prepared for how difficult it would be to balance my blog alongside working full-time.

Another factor in my lack of blog content is that I have been meeting lots of new people through my graduate scheme and I was a bit worried about them coming across my blog. I have always given way too much consideration to what other people think about my blog (even though I know I shouldn't) but I work in the construction industry and I think it's fair to say that a lot of people in that industry don't 'get' blogging so I took a step back from mine. However, I love blogging and interacting with other bloggers so I'm ready to get my blog back on track. Unfortunately I won't be able to commit to weekly blog posts because in a week's time I will be starting a masters degree as well as working full-time. But I will be blogging as much as possible and I will be sharing photos of what I'm getting up to in London on my Instagram.

Aside from work, I have been making the most of exploring London and some of my favourite things over the past few months have been: Sky Gardens, Wimbledon Park Pumpkin Patch, Battersea Park Fireworks, Richmond Park, Syon Park's Enchanted Woodland, seeing all of the Christmas decorations around London, ice skating at Skylight, Olafur Eliasson exhibition at Tate Modern, hot chocolate from Dark Sugars (best hot choccy ever!), Canary Wharf Winter Lights Festival and the Plant Powered Expo at Kensington Olympia. I'm going to put together a blog post about my favourite things to do in London sometime soon.

Hopefully you have enjoyed this little life update and thanks for sticking with me over the last few months. I can't wait to get back into blogging again.
