Valentine's Day Makeup Look

Hey, it's me! In case the blog name confused you, I decided to rebrand from Emma Bought What to Emma Lisa because my blog has started to incorporate more lifestyle/travel posts and I felt like it's previous name limited me to only posting about products I had bought. So, now that's out of the way, today I've got a Valentine's Day makeup look for you. It feels like it's been ages since I've shared a makeup look with you and I was really excited to create this one.

I began by prepping my skin with my trusted Benefit The POREfessional Primer - I have been using this for years and don't plan on switching to another primer any time soon! Once the primer was fully rubbed in, I applied Nar's All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (bit of a mouthful). This foundation lasts for hours so it's perfect for a date night when you don't want to be worrying about your foundation going greasy. To cover up any imperfections I used Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - this is another product that I've been using for years. Next up was bronzer; I applied Guerlain's Terracotta in shade 02 on my cheeks, along my jawline and around the edge of my forehead. I then used The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer on top of my cheeks, along my brow bone, down my nose and on my Cupid's bow. My brows never require much being done to them because they're naturally quite thick, however I brushed a bit of Maybelline's Master Shape Brow Pencil in the shade Dark Brown through them to fill in some gaps. For the eyes, I used the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I applied 'Strange' to the inner corners of my eyes, then used 'Buzz' for the main parts of my eyes and 'Darkheart' for the outer parts of my eyes, then I blended 'Nooner' into the creases. To finish my eyes, I used Urban Decay's Perversion Mascara (this made my lashes sooo much longer!). Lastly, I applied NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo - a vibrant pinky red so it's perfect for Valentine's Day.

I was originally planning to buy the Too Faced Pretty Rich Palette for this look and I wish I had done now because I was a bit disappointed with the lack of sparkle in the Naked 3 Palette. However, this palette is perfect if you want to create a more subtle pink eye look. You could also add some false lashes or eyeliner for more dramatic eyes. Hopefully this makeup look has given you an idea for Valentine's Day. What's your go-to makeup product for Valentine's Day? A red lip? A sparkly eye?
